The slogan of the Oldsmobile company was &#171;nothing to watch but the road&#187;. Its popularity was attested to by Gus Edwards&#8217; song hit of 1905, &#171;In My Merry Oldsmobile&#187;. The car was powered by a four and one-half horsepower motor and power was transmitted to the rear axle by a roller chain, running directly from the motor shaft. Operation was by a single lever. No clutch was used since transmission was of the planetary-gear type. All in all, the &#171;curved dash&#187; Olds was a fine little car and gave its owners a great deal of fun and satisfaction.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<style type=\"text\/css\">\n\t\t\t#gallery-1 {\n\t\t\t\tmargin:
